How To Win The Testosterone War
Gentlemen, it's Men's Health Month. So in honor of that, I'd like to draw your attention to The Testosterone War happening every day right in front of us in real-time.
The testosterone battle is real, and contrary to popular belief, it's not an "old man's" problem anymore. In fact, men in their mid-twenties are dealing with erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, and loss of drive at levels never imagined.
There are a number of factors at play. Your environment, what you eat, and what you use as your personal care products all have a role.
Make no mistake, the dramatic drop in testosterone in men across the board is not by accident. Over the last 20 -30 years there's been a systematic effort to take away a man's drive, mojo, and energy. And no, this is not conspiracy talk, because when you put parabens (xeno-estrogens) and Bisphenol-A (BPA) an anti-androgen into the body it dramatically blocks the normal effects of testosterone.
They've known this for years yet no government or industry has taken a stand and demanded their removal. It's all been swept under the rug. That's why this is not a coincidence.
There is so much more to this conversation, in fact, I am creating a video course on it, but for now, here are some quick solutions to help amp up your T and get you feeling more like the man you once were.
Read the labels: Avoid products with methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, or benzyl ingredients; these are all members of the paraben family.
Avoid non-stick pans
Don’t microwave food in packages or plastic wrap
Store paints and other toxic products in the garage or storage space
Other Ways to Minimize Testosterone Damage From Chemicals
Even if you adopt the above tips, completely removing endocrine disruptors from your life is impossible because they put in almost everything. But you can take steps to mitigate the damage:
Use an infrared sauna to help detoxify some endocrine-disrupting chemicals from your system (9).
Take liver-detoxifying supplements like NAC (N-acetylcysteine), glutathione, glycine, and milk thistle (10).
Take glutathione or boost your natural levels. Glutathione is the major antioxidant in the body and an important way to detoxify all cells in the body.
Add a B complex vitamin, especially if you work with or near toxic chemicals.
It's important for your health as a man to have a good T count to keep you jam'n, jacked, and jazzed about life. Awareness is a good start, but action makes it happen.
You've got this!
